So Dark the Night: Renowned Parisian investigator is set to work throughout his holy day in the French country side. An impressively made B film, something of a sleeper in its time, agonizes only for absence of appeal on the part of its (mainly obscure) cast. Cast includes Steven Geray, Micheline Cheirel, Eugene Borden, Ann Codee, Egon Brecher, and Helen Freeman. (71 minutes, 1946)
Sexy Beast: A retired British gangster, living the life in Spain, is visited by a fierce gangster who desires him to work one more heist. Trendy, aggressive, current day gangster's film has excellent acting containing a special performance by Kingsley as the malicious perpetrator. Cast includes Ray Winstune, Ben Kingsley, Ian McShane, Cavan Kendall, Julianne White, Alvaro Monje, and James Fox. (88 minutes, 2001)
Rhinoceros: Eugene Ionesco entry in "Show of the Ludicrous" makes remorseful shift from the stage to the big screen as sales rep Crazier declines to comply by turning into a mess. The entertainers try. Cast includes Nil Mostel, Gene Crazier, Karen Black, Robert Weil, Joe Silver, and Marilyn Chris. (101 minutes, 1974)
The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes: The first of Disney's duplicate comedies with youthful Russell as the college whiz inserted with a pc-mind, which winds up posing a threat to local gangster Romero. Life of Brian: Monty Python religious parable can possibly hurt every denomination that exists, although it shouldn't. The tale of a guy whose life resemblances Christ is the funniest and most maintained characteristic from Britain's poor boys.
